Andy Serkis, the master of mocap aka Motion Capture and known for his work on Gollum of Lord of the Rings and Caesar from the Apes franchise, is working on new kind of creature. Mark Ruffalo jumped on Twitter again; releasing a tidbit that we should have seen coming!
"Well, I have been working with the great Andy Serkis on the big green boy and he is going to be even better then A1."

After his amazing work as Gollum in the RIngs Trilogy, Serkis has exploded onto cinema with his gut wrenching work on RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES; bringing Caesar to life and making us care for the creature who would become a general of a destructive army that would rampage through every human obstacle in their way. I caught myself cheering for the apes and admiring Caesar's ability to lead and come to grips with this brave new world he found himself in.
Now, he's back in DAWN of the Planet of the Apes in the role of Caesar and I expect no less out of him this time. Not only is he bringing mocap to Caesar, but to each and every ape in the movie. He has not only become a one man show, but has opened a whole new world of CGI.
Directing others is the next phase of his career as he will take the helm of the live action classic, Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. He is poised to do for motion capture what Industrial Light was able to do with the special effects industry in the original Star Wars trilogy.
So, it's not surprise that Marvel/Disney called him in to make the Hulk even more expressive and real. Hooking up Ruffalo in the mocap gear is just the best thing that could happen to the Hulk and the Avengers: Age of Ultron. But is this just a simple case of making the beast come alive? Or are they showing their hand and letting the world know that they are serious about Ruffalo playing the Hulk and all of this is practice for the next big show? That show? An all new Incredible Hulk stand alone starring Mark Ruffalo...oh, yeah...I went there! Let's do this!
