Don't Dead, Open Inside?

What words are better used to describe Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees than iconic or legendary? Both have been around for a long period of time, both have taken the part of influencing the Horror genre in more than a few ways, and both just don't seem to stay dead! But do we want them to is the real question.

And to answer that, I guess the answer is NO! And I say that because of the recent announcements that have hit the internet, starting with Friday the 13th, which is preparing for several projects in the works now. Halloween on the other hand has been very recently announced to have another movie in the works as well.

Here is some of what the people making the new Halloween have to say about it so far,

As we stated before, we are dedicated to the fans of the Halloween series just as much as we are dedicated to delivering a film that we believe the fans deserve and will, most importantly, love. With that being said, we can confirm that a new installment of Halloween is indeed in on track and moving forward. We are currently developing a script, to finally bring Michael back to the theaters!

Now whether it's going to be a sequel to Rob Zombies last atrocity or another reboot, I'm not sure. I do think that it may not be in 3D anymore but that hasn't been confirmed either.

And as for Friday the 13th, they have said so far that it is planned for a March 2015 release, and David Bruckner of the V/H/S series is said to be chosen to direct it. The movie is also heavily rumored to be in found footage form, which isn't a very wise choice in their part if you ask me. And for the last bit of news concerning Friday the 13th, it has been confirmed to be the focus of a television show by the same name.

And now for the final question...
