After 2006's unexpected hit - the Samuel L. Jackson-starring Snakes on a Plane - trashy movies involving comically deadly creatures have been flooding in thick and fast.
And after having gotten Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, Dinocroc vs. Supergator and Big Ass Spider out of the way - it's finally time for Sharknado 2: The Second One to offer us something with perhaps with even more...bite. (Sorry.)
Today, we're also hearing that Syfy has green-lit a third Sharknado movie! So we can all expect some more awful production values, more silly one-liners, and the great mockery of it all on the internet. Is this news so bad, it's good? Or just bad?
After the stormy success of Sharknado, I can't wait to see what the other movies in the comedy horror trilogy have to offer. As long as Syfy decides to implement lasers at any point in the future of their Sharknado franchise, then I'm happy. What about you?
Don't forget - Sharknado 2: The Second One storms into theaters on July 30, 2014.
