After already removing himself from the promotion of his upcoming film X-Men: Day of Future Past, director Bryan Singer was hit with more bad news this weekend: he's being sued by another person for sexual abuse.
Yep, Singer has been hit with another lawsuit that claims he sexually assaulted a teenager.
The new lawsuit, from an anonymous citizen, accuses Singer of sexually assaulting him in the UK. The teen, called "John Doe No. 117" in the complaint, is represented by the same attorney who filed civil complaints against Singer last month.
Much like with the other suit against him, Singer is vehemently denying all of the allegations. His lawyer said in a statement regarding the opposing lawyer:
After the substance of Mr. Herman's previous defamatory and fabricated filing in Hawaii was disproved based on unassailable evidence, Mr. Herman’s desperation has led him to fabricate these new anonymous accusations against Mr. Singer, which we will also prove to be completely false.
Well, things certainly aren't looking great for Singer right now, because even if he prevails, his name and brand will be forever damaged. Does this put you off wanting to watch the latest X-Men movie? Sound off below!
X-Men: Days Of Future Past arrives in theaters May 23, 2014.
