Let's talk dragons for a second.

(And note, mild SPOILERS if you don't want to know about anything dragon-related in Game of Thrones)

Smaug is pretty ruthless, sure. Toothless from How to Train your Dragon is cute, absolutely. The Hungarian Horntail in Harry Potter is fine, really.

But all Game of Thrones fans know who the biggest, baddest, fire-breathing-iest dragons of them all are - and they belong to the Targaryens.

What's more, the lovely people over at The Daily Dot have created an infographic that proves it:

Those crazed flying fire lizards in Reign of Fire can try to destroy civilization all they like, and Smaug can hoard all the Dwarven gold he can find, but at the end of the day, Balerion is still going to be 76 meters long. When he's middle aged.

Since dragons in the GoT universe never stop growing, he could - as Rob Price suggests - have eventually grown to be over 150 meters long. That's the length of a football field. And then half another one.

Just how long will it be before we're seeing similarly epic-sized dragons in Game of Thrones?

What do you guys think? Balerion may be the biggest, but which dragon do you think would win a mega brawl between the lot of them? Let me know below!
