With the final season of Sons of Anarchy beginning production in May Kurt Sutter, the creator, admitted that he was having trouble with elements of the finale of the show. However the first episode has been turned into FX with what Sutter calls 'disclaimers' with regards tone. He says this with a smile on his blog video WFTSUTTER, where he explains how he is doing with the script.

He claims that he is 'stammering and pausing with it'. The climax of the Jax story, the realization that his mother killed his girlfriend and ultimately his own coming apart will have to be the main focus and this is probably what Sutter is allegedly struggling with.

However Sutter does speak about a number of characters that he wishes to flesh out. He will be bringing back Jason Patrick and calls him a 'real life' biker as he plans to write a few stories around him. Also returning will be Emilio Rivera as Marcus Alvarez.

He also speaks about his followup series to Sons currently in development at FX along with his feelings about this. In a quote he states:

'Drugs and alcohol and substances are no longer an option, I punched that ticket 20 years ago, you know it's all the other stuff, and I realize that as Sons comes to a close, as I have to face that reality and that sadness and that endgame, I'm pretending that's not happening by going 'oh, I have to do this over here after Sons,' so I'm already jumping out of the feeling of the show ending to the next thing'

Also, he is having a shoulder operation...

Sons of Anarchy season 7 will premiere in September of this year.
