Paul Walker's mother, Cheryl, has spoken for the first time about the casting of Paul's brothers, Cody and Caleb, in the upcoming Fast & Furious 7.
A few weeks ago, we heard the news that the brothers would be called in to complete several scenes which were slated to star their late brother. For the most part, Paul had completed his dramatic scenes in the franchise sequel, however following his death, it was decided Caleb and Cody would be used to fill in the remaining action and plug a few gaps in other partially filmed scenes. Cheryl Walker told E! News:
I'm very proud of them. It is bittersweet for them to do this. They are happy to honor their brother and finish the project. [They] have had a wonderful time [on set and] are treated very graciously by the people.
Cody Walker also recently took to Facebook to express his own feelings towards being cast. He wrote:
I can now officially confirm what so many have already assumed. FF7—let's make it great and make my bro proud.
Exactly what the brothers were required to do is still unknown. Earlier, we saw pictures of the Walkers on set with Vin Diesel, but other than that, we do not know the fully extent of their duties.
And now, because it's always worth watching, here is the moving tribute Vin Diesel provided in memory of his fellow star. Watch that again below:
Currently, Fast & Furious 7 is expected in theaters on April 10th, 2015.
What do you think? Will you be able to notice Paul's brothers were used to finish Fast & Furious 7?
