Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field. Those are some big names in Hollywood, so you would think that this movie will be amazing. As I did think this movie had high flying, excitement, there were some things they did incorrectly, which could have made this movie a little better.
The movie actually started off really well, the action and excitement was right there. It sorta died down, then it does pick back up at the end of the movie. Paul Giamattie had a very small part in the beginning of the movie and at the end of the movie. It wasn't really enough to talk about, so I'll stop right there.
Jamie Foxx was cast incorrectly. As much as I like Jamie Foxx, they should have given him a different part. His character is a nerd. He is a "creepy" nerd at that. He is a weirdo with no social life, no friends, and no one notices him. Now if you remember Django Unchained, you would know that Jamie Foxx is too big to not have any lady friends, and I'm sure the ladies know what minute to stop Django to get a better view of Jamie's "Foxx." B.J. Novak was also in this movie. He was a scientist with Jamie Foxx. It is really hard to believe he could somewhat bully Jamie Foxx into doing stuff. He isn't the right fit for that.
This movie will get you exciting for the next one, which they left open for. If you get the chance, definitely watch this movie in 3D at the movie theater. This will keep you so involved in those action scenes, you won't be able to remember your in the theater and your watching a movie.
What would I have changed? (Spoilers)
Well Jamie Foxx needed to have a different role altogether. He just didn't seem to fit that type of a part. Also B.J. Novak was in the movie, not too sure why, he shouldn't have been there. Hard for me to believe B.J. Novak can bully Jamie Fox. SO it looks like they should have cast these two actors differently.
