Audiences will have to wait longer than expected to see Ben Affleck's prohibition-era drama Live by Night.

Ben Affleck's next directing project [Live By Night](movie:390415) has reportedly had its release date postponed by Warner Bros from Dec. 25, 2015, to Oct. 7, 2016 due to his upcoming role in Zack Snyder's [Batman vs. Superman](movie:711870) which is about to start shooting in Detroit.

Not much is known about the project which Affleck is set to both direct and star in. Based on Dennis Lehane's novel of the same name, no other cast is currently known. Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way is producing the movie, about the son of a cop who descends into a life of crime, and it's from the same studio corridor that was used to launch Affleck's Gone Baby Gone and the oscar winning Argo.

Following the successes of his films such as Argo and The Town, I for one can't wait to see how Affleck portrays the Dark Knight and handles his upcoming Live by Night project.

Which movie do you think should get priority: Batman vs Superman, or Live By Night? Is Affleck right to interrupt his successful directing streak? Write in with your thoughts below!
