Gorilla warfare looks set to continue in the latest trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

The film, which acts as a sequel to 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes, fast-forwards the story to post-apocalyptic Earth circa 2026. The apes have built a new society, but it doesn't look like they'll be left in peace. Watch the trailer below:

Among all the other flashes to action and emotion we see in the trailer, we perhaps also unlock the secret of that mysterious James Franco 'cameo'.

In any case, it looks like breaking out of San Francisco might have been the easy bit for Caeser and his chimp pals. Now he's got the much more difficult job of ruling and dealing with all those challenges to his rule - which includes a fully riled-up Gary Oldman. Will he succeed? You'll have to wait until 11 July 2014 to find out.
