The upcoming season of Fox's Sleepy Hollow, a modern retelling of Washington Irving's classic, will be getting a slightly larger run than last seasons 13 episodes.

Fox are planning to extend Season 2 to at least 15 episodes with producers preparing for a possible 18 episodes.

It is believed that this season will be slightly larger to allow the storytellers to tell a bigger and more grand story arc.

It is a couple more episodes above the 13 episode 'cable model' that is being tested out by networks to host creative quality.

Sleepy Hollow's executive producer Mark Goffman about the impact on quality or creativity that more hours will have for the show:

“We look at this series as epic and every episode as needing to be epic,” Goffman said. “Every episode needs to be an adventure ... with major revelations that move the story forward. ... The more episodes you do, the harder that becomes, but I feel we are still at level where we can maintain that pace.”
