So excited about Edge of Tomorrow you could jump up and down on a popular talk show host's couch? Well, you should be - the upcoming Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt starring sci-fi actioner is beginning to look like the best video game adaptation yet (despite not actually being based on a computer game at all).
Set in a near future where Earth is under attack from an alien race, and there seems to be no way to stop the, Tom Cruise plays an unassuming officer thrown into a suicide mission, who is promptly killed within moments.
But worry not - the movie doesn't end there. Cruise is somehow thrown into a time loop, and lives the same day over and over again - think Groundhog Day, crossed with Starship Troopers, and you're most of the way there. With the help of Blunt's war hero, he slowly learns how to fight - and possibly even how to win.
Adapted from Hiroshi Sakurazaka's novel All You Need is Kill, the film looks like it could just be the intelligent, action-packed sci-fi we're always waiting for - especially since it's being directed by The Bourne Identity's Doug Liman.
Liman's 2008 Jumper is arguably one of the most underrated sci-fi actioners of recent years - with a tighter plot it could have been something really special - and showed that the man can direct high-concept with one hand behind his back.
And would you look at that: as if by magic, we have a gigantic pile of awesome new stills from the movie (with a few old ones thrown in for good measure), just to whet your appetite that little bit more.
