If you were never convinced about the prospect of Jason Momoa appearing as Arthur Curry in Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman vs. Superman, then this might just constitute the news you've been waiting for: Momoa has finally destroyed the rumors he's going to play Aquaman!
Momoa appeared at East European Comic Con and a fan asked about the Aquaman rumors. The actor laughed them off with the following words:
I know, Aquaman! I couldn't even be more random for Aquaman, you know, with the blonde hair... I don't even know where that comes from, it's like me being... uh... Robin or something. Who pulls that out? I see that on the internet and I'm like, Aquaman? A guy like... Lobo I could see...
See for yourselves:
Rumors have being doing the rounds that beefcake Momoa has bagged himself a role in the Man of Steel sequel for a while now, though the actor himself has denied several times that there is anything much to them.
So, that's certainly some food for thought. Khal Drogo was the king of the Dothraki Sea. Aquaman is the king of the actual sea. Both are oh-so-pretty. It totally works. I'm still refusing to believe he's out of the running.
What do you think, fans? Has Momoa finally ended these rumors for good, or is he just toying with us? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
Batman vs. Superman is set to arrive in theaters on May 6, 2016.
