With the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes marketing campaign in full swing, 20th Century Fox has just released a brand new featurette talking about the 3D element of the CGI-laden summer blockbuster.
Unfortunately, the video doesn't really show any footage that wasn't already shown in the recently released trailer, however, we do get to see a few snippets from behind the scenes. Check it out below:
3D wizardry aside, I am glad to hear that Matt Reeves seems to be prioritizing the emotional story in [Dawn of the Planet of the Apes](movie:322904). It would be all to easy to turn the sequel into a generic action CGI ape-romp, but the emotional side of Caeser's story was certainly what made Rise of the Planet of the Apes stand out.
