Hugh Jackman recently revealed that if he did another Wolverine that he was "99.9% sure it would be the last". But, it looks as though the Aussie beefcake pulled out that statement faster than Wolvie pulls out his gargantuan retractable adamantium-laced bone claws - and has now admitted to being a little over-dramatic.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press, the actor confirmed that he may have jumped the gun a bit, saying:

I think I might have overplayed my hand a little bit by saying I'm almost sure that the next one will be my last.

That said, Jackman also recently admitted that he is not ready to make a commitment to future X-Men movies as Wolvie, revealing of his plans for X-Men: Apocalypse:

I don't know whether or not I will do this next movie. I am really proud of this movie and I am excited to develop something with Jim Mangold from the beginning because that is a great ride. That's exciting, to see what we come up with but I have a very high expectation of what it would need to be [for me to star in it] and if it doesn't reach those, I won't be doing it.

Okay, so Jackman is pretty non-committal, but this could mean that in addition to starring in the next solo Wolverine flick, Jackman could also be back for 2016's Apocalypse. Obviously nothing is confirmed yet, but he seems more invested now than in his fifteen long years of playing the character... Because, of course he is!

What do you guys think of Jackman's latest reveal? Would a Hugh Jackman-less Wolverine movie be the end of Fox-Men? Sound off below!

Jackman will next play Wolvie in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which hits theaters on May 23.
