Curiouser and Curiouser. The set up for [The Amazing Spider-Man 3](movie:671279) is getting plain interesting. A little later this week, I will dissect it all. But, right now, let's talk about one comment Emma Stone made during one of her [The Amazing Spider-Man 2](movie:508593) interviews.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ASM2, TURN BACK NOW!

Emma Stone:
"there is a whole plot line that could happen that may bring her back."

Wha? Didn't we see Gwen die in the final scenes of the movie? Not only dead, but DEAD AND BURIED!! So what in the world could she be talking about?

Well, it's as easy as picking up Amazing Spider-man issue #142. That was the first appearance of the Gwen Stacy clone created by the Jackal. The same character who was responsible for her death in the comic books. So, will Oscorp go as far to dabble in cloning? Maybe. But another option rests in one possible choice for the [Sinister Six](movie:1274281).

Remember the mask teaser in the end credits? Well, some have speculated that it marks the arrival of the face changing chameleon. So, possibly, Gwen isn't a clone, but a doppleganger either played by the Chameleon or created by him. Either way it's sure to send Peter's head into a spin!

And, just to leave you with a teaser of my post later this week. Gwen Stacy may not be the only person close to Peter to suddenly appear. But that will have to wait!
