MAJOR SPOILERS FOR TONIGHT'S EPISODE OF THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
If you tuned into the CW tonight, you are probably a sobbing wreck like I am right now. You are probably suffering from denial, going through several boxes of tissues, and driving anyone around you absolutely crazy. The cause of this is the season five finale of The Vampire Diaries.
Let's recap, shall we?
The plan to kill the Travelers needed someone to to light the match, so noble Damon volunteers because he thinks he can come back through anchor Bonnie. Elena tags along with Damon and they get separated on the other side. (noooooo)
Luke comes back first, followed by Enzo and Tyler. (yaaaayyyyy) Elena didn't want to leave without Damon so Bonnie pulls her through anyways which causes her to collapse. Stefan, the knight in shining armor, goes to catch Bonnie so he comes back too. (yaaayyyyyyyy)
Then Lexi refuses to go back through saying, "What kind of best friend would I be if you died before Stefan got his brother back?" (Sobs. Again.) Lexi finally finds peace (more sobs) when Markos goes flying into the abyss.
Damon and Alaric find Bonnie and Alaric goes through (OMG ALARIC IS BACK) but Luke then stops the spell because it is killing Liv. But Damon is left on the other side. (SOBS FOR THE REST OF EXISTENCE)
After the most heartbreaking scene ever recorded on tv between Elena and Damon, Bonnie calls Jeremy and says that the Other Side is crumbling and she is going with it. Jeremy comes and at the end we see Bonnie and Damon on the Other Side. Damon and Bonnie hold hands (TEARS TEARS TEARS) "Do you think it will hurt?" Bonnie asks. "I don't-." (NOOOOO TIMES 1,000,000,000)
What will happen next for Damon and Bonnie? I have no idea. Will they be back? (they better be)
On a happier note, The CW confirms that Matt Davis (Alaric) will be back as a series regular for season 6. (Yaayyy! and you can't have Alaric without Damon, right?)
What did you think of the finale? Yay or nay? Will you be tuning in for [The Vampire Diaries](series:200853) season six? Let me know in the comments!
