Here are the TOP 5 movies at the US Domestic Box Office this past weekend:
1)Godzilla - $93.2 Million
2)Neighbors - $25.9 Million
3)The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - $16.8 Million
4)Million Dollar Arm - $10.5 Million
5)The Other Woman - $6.3 Million
Obviously Godzilla was going to be the number 1 this weekend but $93 Million?! Woah, that surprised me. That means it had a bigger opening weekend then The Amazing Spider-Man 2!
Speaking of Spider-Man 2, it's still being beaten by Neighbors, which I don't think anybody expected, Sony spent a lot of money on the marketing for this movie and I honestly think they wasted a lot.
Neighbors came in at number 2 and that movie is doing great, both commercially and critically. Personally I didn't like the movie a lot but people are still rushing out to see it.
Glad to see Million Dollar Arm in the TOP 5, I'm really excited to see it whenever it releases in the UK. Not a terrible opening for a small movie like that.
And The Other Woman still won't go away, this week it will definitely be out of here with the releases of X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and BLENDED!
I saw Godzilla last Thursday but haven't reviewed it yet, that should be up in the next couple of days!
