If you haven't heard there will be a new set of movies coming to the Harry Potter series, these ones will revolve about a book called [Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them](movie:1112558) and the story will take place a good 70 years before the events of The Sorcerer's Stone. With JK Rowling writing we have been waiting for a director to be attached to the series and it seems that [Gravity](movie:41913) director, Alfonso Cuaron, might be the one to helm it.

Even though Gravity might not have had a good script, the direction and everything else done with the movie was fantastic. I believe this could be a good fit for Cuaron and not only that, the franchise benefits from having such a talented director. As talks develop and this rumor becomes either true or false, we will be getting a step closer to getting a director for the movie and with it pre-production getting close to beginning.

Cuaron of course already directed one of the most popular Harry Potter movies, and a film that was seen by many as a turning point in the series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

So do you think that Cuaron is the right man for job? Let me know your thoughts below!
