If you like your whimsy and heartfelt sentiment laid on thick, then Zach Braff has directed the perfect movie for you!
[Wish I Was Here](movie:908954) just dropped a brand new theatrical trailer and it is a festival of bouncy indie tunes, familial love and feel-good vibes. Check it out for yourself below;
For those of you who aren't that great at subtlety, the plot line goes something like this...
When the patriarch of the family (Mandy Patinkin) is struck down with terminal cancer his son Aiden (Zach Braff) is forced to reconsider his life on both spiritual and practical levels. With money from his wife's (Kate Hudson) earnings running low and no cash from his father to fund the kids (Joey King and Pierce Gagnon) private schooling, Aiden turns to a disastrous adventure in home schooling with the 'help' of his brother (Josh Gad). Needless to say, the perceptually broke, failed actor ends up learning more about himself and the nature of life in the process.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, you better get cursing to get some swear jar money for the cinema!
Wish I Was Here hits theaters on July 18, 2014
Can Zach Braff ever top 'Garden State'?
