I recently got to interview super-affable, down-to-earth actor Jason Mewes the other day for his latest collaboration with bestie Kevin Smith, [Jay & Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie!](movie:885121) The conversation ranged far and wide, but I was pretty pumped when talk turned to whether or not we'd ever see some movement on [Clerks 3](movie:388513). As it turns out, that answer was a hell, yeah! And it might be happening sooner than we had hoped, said Mewes:

I’m hoping we get to do that at the end of the year, or the beginning of next year and we’ll see what happens. But first will be the horror movie Krampus -hopefully that will be in September if everything goes as planned, and then Clerks 3 by the end of the year. You never know, people want to finance and be part of it and then they don’t, so I don’t know…

Considering Clerks 3 could be made on a shoestring budget, and you just KNOW there's already a loyal, built-in audience who would pay up to see Randal and Dante, Jay and Silent Bob on screen together again, it looks like all signs are go for the threequel.

Are you pumped at this news? Or has it been so long since the second film that the thrill of seeing the trilogy finished has lost its luster? Let me hear it in the comments below. SNOOCHIE BOOCHIES!
