It's a pretty amazing planet we live on here, and a man would have to be some kind of fool to think we're all alone in this universe.

Warning, there may be some minor spoilers in the article below.

What would Horror be today without the villains above? And what what they be without their masks? We can all agree that Michael and Jason just aren't complete without their appropriate mask. Much like Freddy without his glove, or Batman without the Joker, it just wouldn't work. Thankfully though, we don't have to worry much about those sort of problems. And with that, I'm going to count down my opinion of 5 of the scariest and most recognizable mask in Horror movie history.

5. Ms. Tredoni / Alice, Sweet Alice Mask

This mask may not be the most popular, but it is definitely one of the creepiest of the bunch. Because it seems so out of place in a movie like that. The face of a smiling clown, or woman, or whatever that is supposed to be isn't something you want to see before going to bed at night.

4. Ghostface / Scream Mask

The Ghostface character in the Scream movies may not be at the same level of worldwide popularity as other slasher villains, but the mask used by the villain is definitely one you'll be seeing on Halloween every year at least 10 times. It is inspired by the iconic face in the 'Scream' painting by Edvard Munch. And it's so creepily altered that most can't bare to look at it for to long.

3. Leatherface / The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Unlike the other two already listed on this countdown, Leatherface is actually not only one of the most popular, but also one of the very first of his kind. And his mask is like no other. It's made of human skin, which is always scary! And there are only a very few amount of mask that are scarier than the mask used in the very first Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The mask in that film are pure nightmare material.

2. Jason Voorhees / Friday The 13th

At number 2 is not only one of the most popular movie characters of all time, but also one of the most popular Horror movie mask of all time. Jason Voorhees and his hockey mask have been around for just over 30 years now, and they show no sign of losing in popularity. With a new film and television show in the works, along with a countless amount of merchandise from toys to rings, Jason shows no sign of slowing down at all.

1. Michael Myers / Hallowen

Finally, the one that started it all, the mask that put Slasher movies on the map, Michael Myers and his mask are both like no other. This mask is sure to send chills any time you see it, even the gif above gives me the creeps when I look at it. Like Jason, Michael Myers and his mask has made its way into everyone's household and is referenced endlessly in pop culture. The only thing that gives this mask the title in my opinion is its creep factor. Jason's mask has everything you could want, except it doesn't scare most people. While Michael's mask has the ability to scare you whether you see it onscreen or in person on a windy Halloween night.

But as I always say, these are just my opinions. What do YOU think? Answer below!-
