That Willow Smith picture just isn't going away. When the image first surfaced of the 13-year-old singer sprawled across a bed with 20-year-old Hannah Montana actor, Moises Arias, the internet exploded into outrage. And now it seems Child Protection Services has too.
Although Willow's mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, categorically told the press that
There was nothing sexual about that picture. Or that situation.
And then went on to slam the media as vile perverts by condemning them for;
Projecting your (the media's) trash onto it, and you’re acting like covert paedophiles, and that’s not cool
It seems like that wasn't enough to persuade CPS that the Smiths were doing an adequate job of raising her children in a safe environment .
The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services told RadarOnline that;
The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand
Whereas I think many people will agree that this might be overkill. It is refreshing to see that this Hollywood families influence and status do not but they beyond the reach of a public investigation.
It is Child Protection Services duty to ensure children are shielded from harm in their family environments, and I think we can all agree that it is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to young peoples safety.
Do you think the CPS investigation is over dramatic or is it right that famous parents are subjected to investigation?
Should the Smiths be investigated for the Willow Smith photo?
