Actor Hugh Jackman, best known as the man with the gargantuan retractable adamantium-laced bone claws, Wolverine, recently joined the desk with Numbers Never Lie's Michael Smith and Jemele Hill to discuss Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

The thesp set to appear as Logan for X-Men: Apocalypse, as well as the next Wolverine sequel. After hinting that he could be ready to hang up the claws after Wolverine 3, Jackman has since suggested that he could be open to continuing in the role beyond that point, and now he's revealed an ambition to join forces with Marvel Comics' superhero assembly, The Avengers.

In his interview, the thesp followed-up his previous comments relating to Wolvie and Hulk having a battle, revealed his ever-present desire to join forces with the likes of Hulk and Iron Man, saying:

I don't even know if it's possible... It probably isn't, but for me one of the great things about the comic book world is that if an artist goes, 'let's put the Hulk vs. Batman, and we'll throw Wolverine in,' it happens…One of the fun things is 'Who would win? Batman-Superman. Who would win? Wolverine-Iron Man.'

You got to love Jackman's enthusiasm about bringing different comic book characters together in movies. Too bad the movie studios aren't on the same page as him... Yet.

Of course the chances of it ever happening are slim, but would you like to see Jackman's Logan and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk going at it, like in Wolverine's first comic book appearance?

Don't forget - Days Of Future Past opens in theaters today, Friday, May 23!
