Elsa is the one of the main characters of Disney's Academy Award-winning 2013 animated film, Frozen. She is the older sister of Princess Anna and was next in line for Arendelle's throne, until her powers over ice and snow led her to become the famous Snow Queen. She is voiced by Idina Menzel. Along with Anna, Elsa is set to became the 13th official member of the Disney Princess line-up. The Disney Princess line-up includes Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Anna and Elsa.

Elsa, also known as The Snow Queen of Arendelle, is an extremely complicated and misunderstood character. Everyone in Arendelle though of her as villain. Unlikely, the audience seemed to love Elsa. In the first half hour of the movie we can clearly see that she is scared to show the world who she really is. However afterwords we see that she is full of strength, confidence and power. Elsa proves that she has confidence by singing Let It Go with the characteristic verse "I don't care what they're going to say".

Elsa is not really a villain, she is just scared. Even after building her ice castle and gaining all this confidence we can still see the fear through her eyes. Even though she says to Anna that she wants to be left alone, deep down she is afraid that she is going to be left alone in a kingdom of isolation. In audition, Elsa is afraid that she will never be able to control her self and therefore Arendelle will be frozen for ever.

Elsa is a less mysterious and dark version of Alison Dilaurentis (Ali's character). Firstly, both of them are misunderstood and react to it in there own special way. Both are afraid of the world and have to deal with strangers. We can also see that there is a difference between them since Elsa is an isolated person and Alison is the Queen B of the teenage society of Rosewood. A noticeable deference is that Elsa hates her powers while Alison has a need for power and greatness.

I believe that Elsa is an original character and whoever created her is a genius. She is a really complicated character who is a reflection of isolated people. Generally Frozen isn't just an animation for kids. Frozen reflects our current society. Frozen shows that sometimes the people we isolate and think as dangerous or crazy might be the best people with a very special and unique talent.
