Can you really blame him?

Robert Pattinson celebrated not only his 28th birthday last week but also had the honour of popping up in two films at Cannes. The increasingly credible young star continued his partnership with David Cronenberg with a smaller role in Maps to the Stars and gave a wonderfully against-type performance for David Michod's The Rover, but if the star is to be believed, none of it came easy.

Speaking to Contactmusic Pattinson admitted to getting cold feet before auditions:

I'm so bad at auditioning and I was terrified that I wasn't going to get it

Pattinson went on to say that for his role in The Rover he had to fight "really, really hard". The Twilight star is one of the most famous men in the world so this just goes to show how much it really takes to get such sought after roles.
