Carrie Fisher has described her fellow original Star Wars cast members as looking “a little melted” on the set of Episode VII. The actress, who appeared at the Hay Festival in Wales over the weekend, shed details on her upcoming role and also commented on how she intends to get the character right this time!

“We all look a little melted. It’s good to see other melted people, it is good to have us all in a room because it’s unique. I mean, I don’t suppose they have reunions for the Gone with the Wind gang.”
"I think people should be forced to do it 30 years on, classic films that they had, either to make another film or put together an anecdote."

The actress also commented on her upcoming role, returning to the Star Wars franchise as her original character Princess Leia. However, the accent isn't coming back!

“I looked a little pretentious faking the accent,” she said. “It was sort of a viral accent – it came and went.”

Another question that fans have been pondering lately, is will her infamous hairstyle of two buns on either side be making a glorious return... she had this to say!

“That can never really be repeated without gales of laughter,” she said. “I’ve begged them to put the hair back on in grey and just catch me cooking with the hair, like Granny Leia.”

The film is due to be released in time for Christmas 2015. Fisher was just 19 when she was cast in the original ‘Star Wars’ film was released in 1977.
