As Assassin's Creed begins its turn for the big screen, it leaves me with many questions. What storyline will they take on? Clearly, Desmond will most likely be the main character in the film, given Michael Fassbender is taking on the lead role. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing it to be honest. He looks like Desmond. But which ancestor will they focus on? They have so many options to choose from when it comes to story. In my opinion, I hope it's Altaïr.

I would love for it to be Ezio, but I don't think Fassbender fits for Ezio. Plus, I love the medieval setting, it could really work well with in the world of cinema. And honestly, how often are there movies set during the 1100s? They could also focus on Conor Kenway from Assassin's Creed 3, since the American Revolution is popular amongst American's. Or better yet, his grandfather, Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, but the story is a little too fresh and given Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tale being released just the next year, there may be too many pirate settings. Even though Fassbender would play one hell of a pirate I think. But just because a video game is great, doesn't mean the movie will be either. We've seen that in the past. I mean, look at Mortal Kombat or Super Mario Bros. Those games were ruined because of the movies that were based off them. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are very skeptical about this film, but I on the other hand could not be more excited for it. I've been a fan of the Assassin's Creed games ever since the very first one. I loved the story, the idea, everything. And with the short film that came out with the release of Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed: Lineage kicked ass. I have faith that this movie has a lot of potential to be amazing, given the story is well written, the director stays true to the comic's and video games, and Michael Fassbender studies his role, maybe plays the first game at least to know the story, we could very well get a kick ass film. This film is on the top of my list for most anticipated film for 2015.
