Denzel Washington has reteamed with Training Day director Antoine Fuqua for the movie remake of popular eighties series [The Equalizer](movie:4448).

Check out the trailer below:

Treading on slightly similar territory to Man on Fire, Denzel stars as Robert McCall, a retired black ops commando who faked his death in search of a quiet life. But before long McCall must once again fall into old habits and dish out some street justice: 'What's wrong with street justice?'.

In a pursuit to find out who kidnapped Teri (Chloe Grace Mortez) McCall stumbles upon a faction of the Russian mafia and begins a bit of a killing spree. The character I think falls somewhere between Man on Fire's Creasy and Jack Reacher: he is out for justice and he'll get it the only way he knows.

Included in the cast is the ever-underused Marton Csokas (The Bourne Supremacy) who, from the trailer, seems to be the main villain. Marton, having played a similar character before in XXX (and arguably the best thing in the film), seems like he'll be the physical equal to Washington in the movie.

Probably not the most important thing of all but at some point or another I can see Denzel having a shotgun in the movie, he usually gets one (apart from in 2 Guns where he literally opts for a pistol instead, poor direction). When he does get one he has been known to name it.

In Training Day it was 'The Bitch' (0:22):

And in Virtuosity it was the 'Crowdpleaser' (08:30):

And in The Equalizer, who knows? I know what I'll be listening out for.

What should Denzel call his shotgun in The Equalizer?

Which is Better?
