The new Godzilla reboot was very enjoyable to watch and came across as unexpected and surprising in many ways, but for the good. I actually really liked this film for many reason and here's why.

Let’s start with Godzilla they kept it loyal to the original look of Godzilla, with some modifications and that was pretty cool. Comparing it to the 1998 Godzilla as a reboot this film showed us Godzilla in a different way then the older films.

Godzilla came across to us as a hero than an enemy. We got to see a lot of action in this film and that made me happy as I was afraid that there wasn't going to be much action or much Godzilla. Godzilla in this film came across two MUTO’S which were the creatures it had to fight one female and the other male. The fight seen between the creatures was interesting and different to watch along with how Godzilla came across to us as the 'savoir of our city'.

The story-line didn't lack in my opinion, yes it could have been a bit better but plot wise and the direction the film was going was satisfying for me and I am sure for most Godzilla fans. I liked how the film started and the idea of no one knowing what is happening and the way information about this creature was being kept from people, the suspense was a key factor.

The only one thing which I didn't mind in the end because the film looked really good was that they had the two Muto's fighting Godzilla, they could of just kept it down to one or none. But in the end though it was pretty bad ass watching these guys fight to the death! And it did change the story and our perception of Godzilla and by him walking away as the savoir was actually a good thing as it made the ending of the film more interesting than a normal cliché ending. Godzilla was not the centre of attention in this film alone.

I guess they done this ending as it's leading up to the second film which has been rumoured or it's for us to walk away with thinking of other possibilities about the second film or Godzilla in general. Maybe he's not the enemy this time but might be next time. Either way a different ending is not a bad thing.

Let me know your thoughts Godzilla fans?
