One of the most staggering moments of X-Men: Days of Future Past- as we all now surely know- comes at the very end of the credits. Knowing that the 2016 follow up would be called X-Men: Apocalypse might have been a tiny giveaway for fans, but the villain's origin sequence still looked and felt huge.

Screenwriter Simon Kinberg sat down with Collider to talk about the scene and was asked about the actor who they had used. Kinberg revealed that the young Apocalypse was played by the 18 year old Brendan Pepper before dropping a hint that the he would not continue the role. No surprises there, but whatever the case we now have a behind the scenes photo of a non grey-skinned Pepper chilling with director Bryan Singer:

Great stuff. Head over here to check out some of the interview with Kinberg- who for some reason is sporting a strikingly similar shirt?

Spooky.

We look forward to the full grown Apocalypse on may 27th, 2016

Should they keep Pepper on?
