Well neither did we.

Keen eyed viewers might have spotted one gaping exclusion in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The time travelling franchise connector managed to squeeze two generations of characters but couldn't find room for the Marvel cinematic universe's most ubiquitous character.

Stan Lee doesn't appear in every Marvel movie, but he sure as hell tries. The creator of so many of these characters was left out of Bryan Singers latest mutant adventure and Lee believes he knows why. Check out the interview below:

A ploy to sell more tickets? Very Shrewd Mr. Singer, very shrewd indeed...

Lee might have to wait till Age of Ultron to get back up on screen but if you can't wait that long to see the ageless bespectacled writer, youtuber Homer Thompson has rounded most of those cameos up right here:
