Details have emerged regarding Michael Haneke's follow up to his Palme d'Or winning, Oscars crashing, Amour. The new project will reportedly be titled Flashmob and, believe it or not, will concern just that. Indiewire report that:
The story will follow a group of characters who connect through the internet and are brought together by the titular event at the end, while the movie thematically exploring the relationship between media and reality.
If production begins before the end of the summer we can hope for a premier at Cannes next year. If it does make it to the Croisette, the director will be vying for what would be a third Palme d'Or in a row.
The news has been enough to get that Michael Haneke twitter guy back up and running though...
Good news all round.
More on Flashmob as we get it.
