With every bit of leaked info on the upcoming [Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870), the fans get more and more anxious and worried. Although the release of Batman's costume has brought considerable support, most of the other news has left the hardcore fans wondering what in the hell is going on.
Well, brace yourselves, True Believers. Rumors are flying about the most important costume of all. Because, if there's one costume the fan-boys and girls are looking forward to seeing it's skin hugging, figure showing one piece of the missing part of the DC Trinity, [Wonder Woman](movie:45787).
Well, we have rumors flying. The newest word is that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman outfit will be based on her 2010, pre-New 52 redesign, introduced in comic issue #600. But that seems strange to say the least. Here, let me explain with an ample quote from Rob Bricken at io9.com:
"if this rumor is true, then DC will have 1) redesigned Wonder Woman for no apparent reason in 2010, 2) dropped the redesign after about six months because fans hated it, 3) rebooted their entire universe just a few months after that but kept her in her classic outfit, and yet 4) when they finally decide to bring this classic, 75-year-old character to film for the very first time, they 5) use the one comic outfit that lasted maybe six months and that the character's fans mostly loathed."
Ok, people, let's get real. Did you really think we were getting the one piece swimsuit bustier with a big eagle accentuating her breasts?
There's comic fantasy and then there's practical. I feel for the wardrobe designers having to deal with the insane costumes the comics have dished out over the years. I think this is a good way to go and it makes sense. MAYBE along the way we will get a skimpier version. But this is a powerful start if you ask me...but I know you didn't.
But what do you think? Should Gal Gadot's Batman v. Superman Wonder Woman costume be classic and skimpy, or modern and practical? Write in with your thoughts below the line!
