It's a real breeze this directing racket...

At least, presumably, that's what Gareth Edwards must be thinking. The British director made a believable- and sometimes beautiful- debut film for half a million bucks and has followed it up with a $160m reboot of Godzilla.

As reboots go it's a decent effort, if perhaps a little disappointing, but that hasn't stopped Lucasfilm from signing Edwards on for the first standalone feature in 2016, which many expect to focus on Boba Fett. Whatever the case, all systems are set to go and the first photo from Lucasfilm has just gone up. Check out Edwards with screenwriter Gary Whitta and another, slightly more familiar face below:

Godzilla is in theatres now and you can expect to see this one some time in 2016.
