Marvel Studios has been in the news quite a bit this week for both positive and negative reasons. First it was the news of Edgar Wright vacating the director’s chair for Phase 3s [Ant-Man](movie:9048). Then the big announcement, and probably the biggest news to come for a while now, that actor Josh Brolin was cast as the “voice” of Thanos for [Guardians of the Galaxy](movie:424073). I firmly believe that he will be fully cast for this character because I think it’s a perfect casting decision. And if it does well, he will make his return for [The Avengers 3](movie:738027). Well played Disney.

But this is not why you are here. The news I bring you today to start off your week is…

Joss Whedon announced in a tweet today that he is half-way through with Age of Ultron. Wait WHAT?

Ok, so let’s read a little further into the tweet. Take out your checklist.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to be released in May of 2015. Check.

We already knew that they had begun filming couple weeks back. Check.

We’ve even seen set photos. Check.

Could this news mean that we could see some footage, a trailer, or a nice big reveal with the appearance of Ultron at this year’s Comic-Con which is only just over a month away? Absolutely!

This movie is already being highly anticipated. The Avengers was the highest grossing Marvel movie to date and was widely accepted by audiences of both comic world and casual movie goers. So it’s only logical that its sequel will be grander in scale and will be on the minds of all fans up until release night. So why not tease us more? With the release of some actual footage, it could possibly kick our expectations into hyper drive. Yup I can’t wait!

What do you think? How bad are you dying to see an actual picture of what Ultron will look like? Sound off in the comments below.
