With recent confirmation that front-runner Adam McKay will not be taking the new director position for Ant-Man after Edgar Wright's departure, Marvel Studios will likely be turning their eyes to two other comedy directors who were initially reported to be in Marvel Studios' sights alongside Adam McKay before news picked up that McKay was in final negotiations.

Who are the other two directors? Rawson Thurber and Ruben Fleischer, who like Adam McKay, are very well known for comedies. Initially, I believed the list to be fabricated as Marvel had previously said the movie will not be a comedy, but it seems that despite this, Marvel may be planning more comedic scenes than the average movie by their choices in directors.

Let's take a closer look at our last two contestants:

  • Rawson Thurber: DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story, [We're the Millers](movie:7508) and Easy A.
  • Ruben Fleischer: Zombieland, 30 Minutes or Less, and Gangster Squad

So, of these two directors, which would you pick? Personally, I know Thurber is more comfortable with raunchy comedies that have funny sexual innuendos while Fleischer definitely has dark comedies down (perhaps that's personal bias though, since [Zombieland](series:832210) is definitely one of my favorite comedies). Which director would you choose?
