This week, Emily Blunt is starring alongside Tom Cruise in the Warner Bros. Groundhog Day-meets-Starship Troopers movie, Edge Of Tomorrow. But, could WB be sticking with Emily Blunt for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

According to a certain Spanish news site, Blunt is up for a role in the Man of Steel sequel. No word yet on which part she would play or what type of source the report comes from, so I'd take this with a grain of salt. This is what they're reporting:

The actress Emily Blunt will land on billboards worldwide with her film 'Edge of Tomorrow', in what appears to be a great science fiction role. Now her name returns to the orbit of comic adaptations with her possible incorporation in 'Batman Vs Superman', directed by Zack Snyder. A film that has been shooting since last month.

Please be true. Please...

It's not totally out of the question that Blunt is joining the DC superhero sequel. She's had a history of flirtation with the Marvel Cinematic Universe so the girl's clearly interested in taking on the superhero genre at some point.

What's more, Blunt is an incredible actress and would make for a bad-ass superhero. I wonder who she could play though? Twenty bucks says its either Catwoman, someone related to [Wonder Woman](movie:45787) , or perhaps even Artemis.
