John Green's insanely successful novel, The Fault In Our Stars, is finally getting its big screen moment, and stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort are about to share a lot of intimate screentime together, in the form of emotional hospital scenes and dramatic slow-motion shots.
Yep, not only will the pair of actors share moments intimate enough to make the writer weep, with an accompanying, super-sappy soundtrack by doe-eyed wordsmith Ed Sheeran, the movie is also gonna be full of heartbreaking scenes...
And of her many gut-wrenching scenes, Shailene recently spilled that the egg-throwing moment with Nat Wolff's Isaac was the most difficult of the whole movie:
It's such a light moment, so you want it to feel light and you want it to feel fun, but it was also right after he started chemo, so there were a lot of elements that we thought about, going into it. It was fun, but it's almost, sometimes, more hard to do fun scenes and light scenes.
Well didn't that just bring out the sap!?
The Fault In Our Stars centers on Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), two teenagers who survived cancer, who meet in a support group and fall in love. Both have a lot in common: they are kind of precocious, for instance, and both share a fascination with An Imperial Affliction, a novel dealing with cancer. It makes only sense that Augustus decides to take Hazel on a trip to Amsterdam, where the author of the novel lives. The objective of said voyage: to get answers to the big questions!
Gonna cry whilst watching this movie?
