John Green's insanely successful novel, The Fault In Our Stars, is finally getting its big screen moment, and stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort are about to share some serious intimacy in the form of emotional hospital scenes and dramatic slow-motion shots.

Online movie ticket outlet Fandango reports this week that the movie, an adaptation of the moving bestseller dealing with cancer-stricken teenagers, has set a new record for pre-sale ticket orders in the romantic drama genre.

The flick, which opens this Friday, June 6, has over-taken pre-sale totals of both The Vow, and Nicholas Sparks-inspired soppies Safe Haven and Dear John... And before you ask, no, Twilight is not included in the romantic drama category.

The Fault In Our Stars centers on Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), two teenagers who survived cancer, who meet in a support group and fall in love. Both have a lot in common: they are kind of precocious, for instance, and both share a fascination with An Imperial Affliction, a novel dealing with cancer. It makes only sense that Augustus decides to take Hazel on a trip to Amsterdam, where the author of the novel lives. The objective of said voyage: to get answers to the big questions!
