Wow! Interesting choice (potentially) and I would like to see Pattinson play the legendary character. He'll obviously have big shoes to fill but if Disney is truly going in the direction of reboot, I think Pattinson would be ideal for [Indiana Jones 5](movie:203950). Some have criticized his acting, notably in Twilight, but recently Pattinson has shown that he indeed has the talent and range to be a major Hollywood star. Films like [Cosmopolis](movie:38997) and The Rover have garnered him acclaim for his acting.
Multiple UK sources and Hollywood insiders have been reporting that Disney is no longer considering the idea of Harrison Ford coming back as the famous title character.
A report in UK's The Sun reads:
"Producers have asked their casting department for a top 10 list of potential Indies, who must have wide-ranging appeal. Insiders say they hope to reboot the franchise with two quick films in succession, so would need a three-year commitment from their leading man.
A three year commitment! Also one Hollywood insider has said:
“Disney is looking at its long-term options for the Indiana Jones franchise.
“Rob is top of the initial list because he has showed his acting stripes away from Twilight.
“But the competition will be stiff.”
“They feel that the series has huge potential on many levels, starting with the films leading to other spin-offs like games which can generate more money than movies.
