They say you should never meet your idols, but I'm sure Chandler Riggs is much less troubled than his somewhat intense The Walking Dead character, Carl Grimes!

The 14-year-old actor will be attending the Niagara Falls Comic Con this week to greet hordes of eager fans instead of the usual swarms of rampaging walkers, and he seems excited about the prospect. Riggs explained that he loves meeting fans because;

It makes their day. And it’s cool to make someone’s day by liking a photo or answering a question. I like to meet fans and hear their viewpoints. It’s tons of fun

Like most 14-year-olds, fun is something that seems to be constantly on Riggs' mind. When asked about his experiences as a survivor over four seasons of [The Walking Dead](series:201193) he told interviewers at Buffalo News that;

It’s really cool. I'm a teen boy so I like seeing blood and guts. I know it’s fake, but I'm having fun!

Despite being a The Walking Dead veteran Chandler is still having an absolute blast on set. The teen actor who had just finished filming episode 2 of season 5 explained to interviewers that;

It’s going great. It’s so much fun getting to work with everyone again. I like the way Carl has developed. It’s interesting to see him grow. I'm enjoying seeing where he is going

Chandler Riggs was just 10-years-old when he first appeared on the hit TV show which means his character has gone through a multitude of changes. The once shy and reserved child has since endured shooting his own mother to prevent her becoming a zombie and doing a DIY C-section to save his baby sister. Needless to say, he is now a rugged and hardened survivor despite his tender age.

As for plot teasers? This young lad won't be giving anything away! Riggs simply stated that;

In a zombie apocalypse, I expect insane things to happen

This will be the second time Chandler has appeared at the Niagara Falls convention. Other celebrity guest include William Shatner (Sunday), Marina Sirtis, Ernie Hudson, Ric Flair, Tyler Mane, Sylvester McCoy, Karyn Parsons, Burt Gold, Tony Todd, Jason David Frank, Giancarlo Esposito.

Tickets are $25 per day and can be purchased HERE.
