Lord of the Rings fans, rejoice! The lovely people over at the LOTR Project have produced the most helpful (and geekiest) Middle Earth-related infographic we've come across in an age.
It lets you compare the journeys of Frodo and Bilbo, in day-by-day detail. Ever wondered what how long the Fellowship spent on the river Anduin? Well, the answer is a really, really long time. The whole infographic is basically a series of 'what the hell' moments, tied together by a really neat visual - and as it turns out, there were a whole bunch of things we didn't get to see on screen.
It was mostly rowing, but there were also a whole bunch of seriously questionable decisions we didn't get to see.
You can take a look for them, and check the infographic out in all its awesomeness, here.
Biggest surprise of the whole thing? Frodo and Sam hung out in Rivendell for a really long time resting up for that journey to Mordor. It's not quite as bad a call as the whole 'you could have just asked the eagles to fly them there, Gandalf' thing, but it still feels like maybe they could have saved a lot of lives if they'd not spent two whole months hanging around playing Elven board games...
[The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies](movie:512312) is due for release on December 17, 2014.
What do you guys think? Biggest mistake the Fellowship made?
