I decided to make this article after being misled by trailers too many times. It happens in games all the time, but this site is Movie Pilot. These are 5 movies that completely mislead me and maybe you. Comment on the ones that have done the venomous deed to you also, I'm always keen on hearing about movies to avoid.

Pain And Gain (2013)

Pain and Gain starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Mark Wahlberg had a script and cast that had me sold even before the trailer was released. When they finally released the trailer I was so happy. This movie looked bad-a*s, hilarious and just good fun. What I actually got, was a muddled film that didn't know what genre it was to fall in to. A very poor movie that was amplified because I was so excited for it.

Sucker Punch (2011)

A movie hated by critics and viewers alike. This movie was an abomination and it's been so long since I've seen it I can't even narrow down what I dislike about it the most. What I can be held guilty for it, the my sheer excitement once I seen the first trailer. I hate saying it, but I loved the trailer. The visual aspect and just all round action had me intrigued. But as we all know, the movie was down-right poor.

The Great Gatsby (2013)

Like Sucker Punch, The Great Gatsby was a film not liked by many critics. The only difference in my books is I actually liked this movie. I thought it was visually pleasing and had a fantastic soundtrack. The only bad thing was, is the trailer was a lot better. I was slightly dissapointed after seeing this one.

Elysium (2013)

This may very well be the most liked/popular movie on this list. The Sci-Fi, not-so-epic starring Matt Damon is again, another movie I was quite dissapointed about. I'm not saying this movie wasn't good because it was. The story was deep, the acting was thorough and it just fell a bit flat for me. Maybe because the trailer had me thinking I was gonna see a repeat of Neill Blopmkamp's fantastic District 9.

Kick Ass 2 (2013)

This film, for me, is the absolute mother of let-downs. I adored everything to do with the first movie and maybe that hyped me up to much for this. Nevertheless, this trailer had me and everybody else under the impression that Jim Carey would be heavily involved in the movie. That was a lie. He was by far the best in the movie and was annoyingly underused. Not to mention the action being all given away in the trailer too. Damn those guys.

What do you guys think?
