With E3 breaking out over the weekend, we've been inundated with new trailers for the various upcoming video-game big hitters. Take for example, the next Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

The game, which once again takes the series into the near future following Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops II, has just debuted nine minutes of game footage from a level entitled 'Induction'. As you can imagine from one of the new breeds of Call of Duty games, it features a lot of explosions, scripted set-pieces, techno babble and futuristic gizmos.

Although, this trailer certainly doles out the eye-candy, I'm not sure if I've seen enough to fully get excited about the prospect of another Call of Duty game. In terms of reviews, there has been a slight, but steady, decline in the quality and originality of the series ever since the core members of Infinity Award splintered off to form Respawn Entertainment - which saw great success with the relatively recently released Titanfall. Indeed, having seen this first trailer, with its similar setting, futuristic weapons and jumping ability, I'm sure some people will be drawing comparison between the two.
