I hope this is true!
Latino Review's Star Wars expert, Dave Gonzalez posted some news on Episode 7. Gonzalez is confident about this news stating "solidified enough to be reportable". So what's the big news you're asking? Below I'll list some of the information that Gonzalez posted.
Warning: This might be a slight spoiler for some individuals (which makes no sense if you're on this article).
- There's over a 50% chance the Sith villain is a female.
- Despite having 30 Years after Jedi to set one up, there is NO New Republic at the start of Episode VII.
- Mandalorian armor similar to both Jango and Boba Fett... More galactic mercenaries?
- "John Boyega isn’t a Jedi or a Padawan at the beginning of the movie, he’s the one that has the story arc that brings him into Star Wars’ greater universe. It has echoes of Luke’s arc in A New Hope".
The possibility of having a female antagonist would be awesome for either actress, Lupita Nyong'o or Gwedoline Christie. The question is which female Sith character? I know the internet keeps rooting for Lupita to play Asajj Ventress in which I respectfully disagree! If Lupita does play a Sith I would rather see her play an entirely new character for the Star Wars universe something that's right off the drawing board. I'm fine with the "No New Republic" idea. I'm very excited about the Mandalorian armor! Hopefully we'll see more characters from the planet Mandalore. Then of course we have our future Jedi, Sith, or Dark Jedi? John Boyega in the picture! I'm ecstatic that they're giving him a Luke Skywalker arc.
Overall, I can't wait for Star Wars: Episode VII to hit theaters on December 18th, 2015!
