White Bird in a Blizzard, which debuted at this year's Sundance Film Festival, is a coming-of-age story about the sexual awakening of a young girl after the strange disappearance of her mother.
In the clip, stars Shailene Woodley and Shiloh Fernandez make out in montage form, all scored to Depeche Mode. What more could you ask for from a crime drama dabbling in teen romance?
Gregg Araki's last movie, Kaboom, was a sci-fi sex romp - so what we're seeing here in terms of making-out is hardly new territory for the director. From the look of this clip, Araki's also pulling out all of his usual moves; the soundtrack's hip, the colors are heavily saturated to cinematic perfection, and there's plenty of sexual discovery...
Better yet, Magnolia is expecting to roll out White Bird in a Blizzard on VOD this September 25 and in theaters on October 24.
