Clint Eastwood's massively-anticipated musical directorial debut is almost ready to be unleashed. And if you hadn't heard, his musical of choice is Jersey Boys, which - after smashing through Broadway in 2005 and dragging with it a Tony Award - is now, finally, ready for the big screen.
Jersey Boys is the musical biography of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and follows the band's musical and personal journey to stardom. The all-singing, all-dancing quintet had huge hits with "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Beggin'" and many more.
Check out this host of new clips from the movie and see if it hits all of the right notes:
What stands out the most in these brilliant new clips is the perfect pacing and dialogue of the movie, rather than the heady musical overtones that you might expect.
No sign of Christopher Walken's mobster, Angelo "Gyp" DeCarlo, though. But, after becoming an internet sensation when he shimmied and twirled his way all over Spike Jonze's video for Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" and also busting out his moves in Pulp Fiction, Wayne's World 2, and The Deer Hunter, I have no doubts that we're in for a treat.
