For the last 15 years, comic book movies have been rolling out on a yearly basis, and before we get set for a fantastic few years of Comic Book Movies, we look back on the best years for Comic Book Movie, this list will be based on not only the quality of the comic book movies, but the quantity of them in that year, and the box office success of these movies. So here we go:

2008

Iron Man and The Dark Knight
Iron Man and The Dark Knight

Where do I begin with this one! Iron man is known to be one of the best films in the MCU. And The Dark Knight is conceived to THE best DC movie. Need I say more. Fantastic performances from Robert Downey Jr. and Heath Ledger and the two films made an obscene amount of money and entertained fan boys the world wide. Also with a decent Incredible Hulk movie in there. 2008 is a year to remember.

2012

The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises
The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises

With the two franchises at the peak of their success, this was the year to pull off an absolute stunner! The Avengers and the Dark Knight Rises made over $1 Billion each and The Avengers received great credit from all sorts of fan bases, despite The Dark Knight Rises is not liked by a fair amount of people, but the financial success of this film proves that it is an overall success. Also with the Amazing Spider-man being an overall success financially and liked by the general audience. Comic Book fans were very impressed with the quality and quantity of Comic Book Movies this year.

2013

This year excels in quantity as well as quality (For some films anyway). 5 films, all financially successful, but doubters remain on each of these films. These films made just over $3 Billion in total, which is why I say that this is the dark horse on the list! Quantity of Comic Book Movies is the real reason its on the list, but the quality is not matched by some other years, sadly.

2014

Last and most certainly not the least! This year is another that excels in quantity as well as quality. 4 Movies with high expectations and financially successful, with Captain America, The Amazing Spider-man 2 and X-Men Days of Future Past exceeding $600 Million worldwide, and Guardians of the Galaxy set to exceed that number as well. Even if Guardians of the Galaxy is only considered a 'Good Movie', none of the movies will be considered bad, despite The Amazing Spider-man 2 would be the weakest link, nevertheless, this certainly is a Marvel Dominant year!
