The success of this franchise is staggering, all the movies from the MCU has earned just over $6.1 Billion and is set to increase in the next few years, now they have announced that they introducing new superheroes such as QuickSilver, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man and Doctor Strange, but the question is, is it becoming overcrowded?
Firstly, when they announced that Joss Whedon would direct all three Avengers, I was pleased, because Joss Whedon can take a bunch of Main Characters and make them all relevant e.g. [Black Widow](movie:1070824) Black Widow was more relevant in the Avengers than in Iron Man 2, but there is a limited to peoples abilities, with Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, [Ant-Man](movie:9048) and Doctor Strange entering this universe in future Avengers movies, with all the current Superheroes in there at the moment, that's 9 Superheroes that need character building and emotional stature. Also the movie needs to have an established Super Villain, which will be Ultron and then it will be Thanos, and also there are multiple side characters from the Superheroes respective films that the film needs to deal with as well, such as the Winter Soldier and Loki, you could argue that they can be dealt with in their third solo films, but that could potentially question the Superheroes priorities, and could ruin character building moments for [The Avengers](movie:9040) films.
Not only are there 9 Superheroes and multiple villains to take care of, but producers have promised more screen time with the likes of the Hulk and Hawkeye. So will other Superheroes such as Thor or Captain America be considered to be Side characters, this will also be a likely scenario as the Winter Soldier and Iron Patriot/War Machine are rumored to enter the Avengers Movies. And there are even rumours that Spiderman could enter the third Avengers movie.
This is a genuine concern for me. The MCU have been so successful and the last thing any of us want is for it to fall from grace.
Comment below and reassure me that this problem is just nothing!
